I have drawn my approximate boundary lines but it is not calculating the acerage. What sould I do?
Katherine,
I took a look at your property and it would appear that you have entered each line segment as its own boundary. That is why it's not calculating correctly. It's thinking that each boundary is purely a line segment with no depth. This is evident by the fact that you cannot click in the middle of your boundary and have it select it and highlight all the points on the boundary. If you click on a border of you property, it will highlight only the points on that segment of your property. What you will want to do is delete all of the line segments that make up your current property, and draw it again with a single boundary. Make sure you single click (not double) when adding points. If you double click the boundary will be closed automatically. I suspect this may have been what you were doing to end up with the boundary the way you have it. The end result (visually) will be the same with one boundary, but it will be calculating all the area in the middle too, not just the borderline of the property. If you have not seen it yet, this video is helpful for mapping boundaries: http://mylandplan.org/video/how-add-property
