My family would like to lease our land for hunting. What is the best way to proceed?

The land is untouched. No one is ever there, except myself 1 day a year for the first day of deer season so it is nearly, a nature preserve. Every year on opening day I take 2 doe and a buck. Most years I have 3 before noon, and I always get a large buck and never take less than a 8 point. The largest I have taken was 13 point, however if I had more time to hunt( always have to work) I could get a monster. I don't turkey hunt, but the land is covered with them. They can be seen and heard in large flocks year round. Its a waste of perfect hunting ground to keep it to myself, and I will soon be moving out of state so someone should use the land.

Hi Adam,

Wow, your property sounds amazing!  And it is great that you are interested in sharing your land with others.  Hunting leases can be a great way to do that as well as generate income for your property.  We have a whole section on hunting leases in our Profit from it section, including:

Hope that is helpful!
