Satellite imagery is not the latest.
I reported the out of date imagery to Google. The imagery shows the wind storm destruction. It does not show the results of the salvage timber harvest done soon afterwards. Now the area has grown up in weeds and is no longer barren. You probably don't get to choose the vintage of the imagery. That is ok. I have downloaded the various images for different years from The National Map and use them with my AutoCAD maps. Refer to My Forest Journal for the chronology of events. I am slowly getting My Land Plan updated. Can you look at what I have done and comment on my progress?
Hi Toby,
You are correct, we don't have a lot of control over our satellite imagery. We use Google's maps so are imagery is only as up to date as the satellite imagery that Google provides to us. We cannot do anything on our end to change this or update them. We are exploring and considering other services that might offer more up-to-date imagery, but they are not yet available.
Hope that helps and we will notify our My Land Plan users if we are able to change this arrangement.
