Using the mapping tool.
I am trying to re-define the boundary of my property and made the mistake of deleting it. Now I am trying to create a new boundary and am running into these problems:
When I complete the boundary, it doesn't seem to register. All of the lines are connected (I make the final connection only when the courser is a hand pointing a finger, or I double click and it completes the shape for me), but it does not become the boundary (no highlighted lines or points visible) and it does not register on the acreage calculator. I have then tried to just start a new plan entirely, but I run into the same problem, only this time there is a button that says "save and map my features." When I click there, it tells me that I need to use the shape maker tool on the tool bar-- I do not have a tool bar, as far as I can tell.
I have tried using two different operating systems (Windows and Linex) but both were with firefox. Can you help me figure this out? Thanks!
Jenny
Hi Brian,
Wonderful! It works!! Thanks so much for figuring this out and keeping me updated. I'm excited to get mapping again.
Cheers & Gratitude,

Hi Jenny,
Just wanted to let you know that a fix has been put in place for the mapping and it is now back to working correctly! Thanks again for letting us know about the problem.
Hi Jenny
I spent some time yesterday looking in to the issue and found that it is a problem with the Google Mapping API. We use Google's mapping technology for all of our mapping needs, and since the problem is on Google's end, there isn't anything we can do. We found a bug tracking report of the same issue with several other people reporting the same behavior. We are hopeful that Google will report back with a fix soon. In the meantime, we have put up a popup window on both mapping screens that let users know that the maps are not functioning at this time. We will send out a notice when regular functionality is restored. Thanks for reporting this.
Hi Jenny,
Thanks for reporting this issue. I have just tried to alter a boundary of a property on my account and i'm getting the exact same results that you described. You are not doing anything wrong, it appears to be a problem with the site. I am going to look in to it immediately and I will let you know as soon as I can find the problem. Thanks!
