What I don't like...why I don't post here...
Ronald,
I took a look in the logs and found the error that you received. I copied the text and got the same error in my own journal test. The problem stems from the Emoji icon that you tried to enter. I am not sure how you got that in there aside from copy and pasting it from somewhere (or maybe filling in the entry from a phone?). The emoji must use a character set that cannot be saved to the database. Unfortunately, I cannot recreate the entire journal entry for you, but if it helps, this is the section that was in the "thoughts on today" field (with the emoji removed).
At the beginning of April I selected an open area behind the utility building to begin a new orchard. Adding to the many apple trees, pear trees, plum and apricot trees of the old orchard of 25+ years from the Arbor Day Foundation I received my order of 2 peach trees, Bing cherry, tart black cherry, and 2 pecan trees. I planted them in this new area which gets about 8 hours of sun a day, yet is shielded by the tall forest on 3 sides and the utility bldg on the 4th. Trees are between 2-4 feet tall. I noticed when planting that the sandy soil had many white grubs in the soil (probably answers the question of why we have so many voles, yes voles, not moles. If others don't know, a vole looks like a mouse but they live underground, tunneling under the surface eating grubs and can "ring" trees killing them) so I bought some 'grub food' and fed the little buggers, being generous. I mulched the area around the trees about 4" thick in hopes of holding in moisture in the otherwise sandy well drained soil, and hopefully cut down on weeds.
Hi Ronald,
Let me start by saying that I'm sorry the site is giving you problems. I was wondering if you might be able to provide some more information about the situation, as I have not been able to replicate any errors. Do you know what operating system you are using and what web brower (and version) you are using? Feel free to email me directly at brian@djcase.com. We can set up a time to get on a phone call and a screen share if that would be helpful.
Brian
