It is not necessary to start over, but it's certainly an option. If you click and drag on existing points, you can relocate them. There is a video all about mapping boundaries that explains all the things you can do when mapping boundaries. It is located at: http://mylandplan.org/video/how-add-property

This will show you all your options including deleting it and starting over if that seems like the easier way to go.
