We are having planted pines and some hardwoods harvested. This is the first harvest; it is anticipated that there will be two more over the course of the next 20 years. Some areas are being clear cut (because of unwanted species), but there is not a plan for what to do with those areas after they are cleared. Should our forester have planned this with us?
Also, with our harvest half done, there are tons of branches left on the ground, making walking almost impossible. Should these branches be picked up by the logger? They are saying that they will be "gone" in two years, but, I'm not so sure. The majority of it is pine at this point.
