Hello James,

To become certified through the American Tree Farm System (ATFS), you will need a management plan that meets the ATFS Standards of Sustainability.  Then you will need to have a local ATFS Inspecting Forester come to your land and meet with you.  The forester will review your plan and walk your land with you.  If you pass the inspection, then the ATFS program in your state will review the inspection and certify your land.  To learn more, check out the 5 steps to ATFS Certification.
