Can I get someone to do some selective harvesting of my hardwoods and poplar?

How large would the removal equipment be, for access? I have seen some really neat and smaller felling equipment in the past few years. I don't want a mess left behind or damage to areas of ground cedar?

Depending on your local/regional markets, it should be fairly easy to market your hardwoods and poplar.  Typically aspen is managed not by selective harvesting but by clearcutting.  It works out better for the landowner, loggers and wildlife.  At any rate, you should work with a degreed forester that has experience in your area.  If you let us know where abouts you live, we can point you in the right direction.
