Current Use Plan

Hello!

We have 91 acres in Southern Vermont, and a timber plan was drawn up by a forester about 10 years ago and we need to develop this plan for it's current model. We are having a hard time developing this plan and wondered if you had advice or could refer to a forester in the Southern VT area.
We have not been able to declare our homestead or enact the current use (we have been selectively harvesting trees for two years) until a new plan is written.

Any help would be useful, thank you.

Hey Nicole,

Thank you for your question!
My Land Plan does have some tools to help out. To find a forester near you in My Land Plan, just go to the site and click the Find a Forester under the FAQ section. Simply enter your zip code and the distance from you and there should be a range of options.
Here is the link as well: Find a Forester.

Alternatively, on your own My Land Plan page, on the bottom left side is a section showing the nearest foresters to you:

Once you have found a suitable match, just click on the "request a consultation" button to email the forester. You can also share the map of your land and the plan as it stands on our site to help them prepare a bit for the meeting. I punched in Springfield in southern Vermont as a Zip Code for your area, and it looks like there are at least a few options within the state.

Afterwards just remember to fill out an evaluation under "I have worked with this forester"! It allows other MLPer's to get your opinion on their work, and to make better decisions on who to work with in the future.

I am sorry again about the delay, and if there is anything I can do to follow up on this do not hesitate to email us at info@mylandplan.org,

Best,
Daniel Hubbell
