We have 36 acres in Union County Mississippi of cut over land with a kudzu problem on about 15 acres of it. There are many hills and valleys. We want to begin replanting it, but the kudzu is the issue. Where do we start?

Kudzu isn't easy to eliminate, be prepared to fight it for several years! Tordon (Restricted Use Pesticide) and Escort XP are both good herbicides.

Last season, we contracted to have Kudzu sprayed at a rate of $150 per acre (2 qt. Tordon K or 22K per acre applied in water at a rate of 40 gal. per acre). Using a surfactant-sticker-spreader also helps with control.

I'm just "up the road" so if you need more specific info, just call.
