Forty plus years of professional experience with Westvaco, MeadWestvaco, and KapStone Paper in their award winning Cooperative Forest Management (CFM) program. Duties in the program included management plan composition, timber sales setup and administration; timber harvesting, site preparation- mechanical and chemical; reforestation - natural and artificial; herbicide prescriptions; silvicultural contractor oversight; prescribe burning; GPS, and digital map making. As my career advanced, titles changed, but job responsibilities remained much the same. Supervised 3-4 other foresters and technicians, including management oversight of nearly 150,000 acres; also was responsible for administration of the entire assistance program and a proprietary computerized database, that I assisted in designing. Proficient in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and several publically available growth and yield programs.
