Find Latitude and Longitude without a GPS unit

Find you Lat/Long points using Google Maps.

Know how to find your latitude and longitude coordinates even if you don't have a GPS

Just as it’s good to have a backup for your unit, it’s also good to know an alternative way of finding coordinates. One way is through Google Maps. Simply search for your address in Google Maps to get started. If you don’t know the address you need or your location doesn’t have an address, just click on the spot directly in the map.

Using Classic Google Maps

  • If you’re using the classic Google Maps, the coordinates of that location will appear in the search box (see yellow highlighted area in the image on the right).
  • You can copy the coordinates you found this way and enter them into your GPS unit.
