FSA

FSA: The Farm Service Agency.  FSA is an agency within the USDA.

"The Farm Service Agency implements agricultural policy, administers credit and loan programs, and manages conservation, commodity, disaster and farm marketing programs through a national network of offices."

The FSA administers several programs that are open to woodland owners including:

• Conservation Reserve Program can provide funds to help plant trees or create wildlife habitat. 
• Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program helps landowners protect sensitive lands.
