My Alabama Woods
The My Alabama Woods Initiative is a partnership of local, state and national organizations working together to help woodland owners like you find information and services available to you to help you need to get what you want out of your woods. Currently we work in two regions of Alabama.
The Cumberland Plateau of Northern Alabama
Are you interested in getting more out of your land? In helping Alabama wildlife species? If so, and you live or own timberland in Jackson, Colbert, Lawrence, Marshall, Morgan, Cullman, Tuscaloosa, Marion, Blount, Walker, Winston, DeKalb and Limestone counties, then you may qualify to participate in the My Alabama Woods Cumberland Plateau project, including receiving free resources and a site visit from a forester or wildlife biologist.

The Piney Woods of Southwest Alabama
The southwest region is an iconic place, with a wide range of Alabama wildlife species. If you would like to get more out of your timberland, and live in in Baldwin, Choctaw, Clarke, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe or Washington counties, then you may qualify to participate in the My Alabama Woods Piney Woods project, including receiving free resources and a site visit from a forester.
