EQIP: Environmental Quality Incentives Program

• Who: all landowners.
• What: financial and technical help with meeting environmental regulations, creating wildlife habitat, and managing your forest. EQIP can also support you in developing a forest management plan, which you will need to qualify for other Farm Bill programs.
• Where: all states.
• How: EQIP gives you up to 75 percent of the cost of your project, or 100 percent of the income you forego to implement your project. Up to $300,000 over six years.
• Which federal agency: USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS)
