  • What: like CRP, CREP supports landowners protecting sensitive lands with grass, trees and other protective cover through 10- to 15-year contracts. CREP focuses on high-priority areas, such as habitat for threatened and endangered species.

  • How: CREP offers annual rental payments for the land and up to 50 percent of the landowner’s costs.
